A day in the life of The Diversified Writer

Inspired by one of my favorite bloggers—and as a way to spark ideas and help other freelancers—here’s the first of many “day in the life” posts.

This is Monday’s day in the life of The Diversified Writer …

Morning:

• Did my version of the morning routine.
• Ate a frog, in this case, organized taxes and printed Quicken reports.
• Jumped on the phone for my every other Monday accountability call with my mastermind group.
• Traveled to a client’s office while listening to an audio book.

Midday:

• Spend morning and midday in a creative work session with a copywriting client.

Late-day:

• Scheduled a kick-off session with a new client. (W00t!)
• Book a phone call with a potential new client.
• Set up an interview for a feature story with a regional publication.
• Asked for a LinkedIn recommendation on a project I finished two weeks ago.
• Sent a “hello” email to a great client.
• Shut down early so I could do a volunteer project that’s important to me. Ah, the joys of the freelance life!
